Meet The Team
Bruce Jacobs - Born in Boston, Massachusetts. Moved to Florida in 1972. Graduated from Twin Lakes High School in 1981. Married high school sweetheart Cindy Dismuke the same year. We raised three children - Joshua, Justin and Jessica.
In 1975 father, Jack opened Palm Beach Lakes Amaco at the corner of Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. & Okeechobee Blvd. As a kid, I grew up working for my father & going to school. My father had heart issues and let me start running the business at the age of 18. Five years later, my father wanted to get out of the gas station business. I wanted to start my own business and started Military Brake & Alignment in 1985. I started by renting a shop off N. Military Trail, just north of Okeechobee Blvd. As the business grew, in 1991 I purchased the present location at 4449 12th Street in West Palm Beach. It is still a thriving and successful business today.
In 2014 I had the burning desire to open another shop. I left Military Brake & Alignment and let my son, Justin to run it. We hired Rob Jicha to team up with Justin. Rob work for us three years. We kept a great relationship with Rob as he parted ways to work elsewhere. With a leap of faith, of all the places, I opened a tire shop just more than 200 miles away in Marathon in the Florida Keys, with my wife Cindy. Marathon Tire, Lube & More became a big success right from the start. During the next five years, Justin grew Military Brake & Alignment to 50% more business from when I left. Cindy and I worked tirelessly as Marathon Tire grew every year. Interestingly, we became homesick for our family and at the right time, God sent Tire Kingdom to our door. They wanted to purchase the business and we negotiated a deal. We decided to move back to the area and be near family again. I went back to work alongside Justin at Military Brake. The customers love and trust Justin! I soon
realized I was kind of getting in his way. After four months of my return, I heard of the opportunity that Buck's Alignment in Lake Park was for sale. Interesting enough that my brother had owned and sold Buck's in 2009. I knew I didn't want to work like I had in past years. Thinking about who would have the same business drive I have, I thought of Rob Jicha.Rob and I seem to click, so I asked him if he would like to partner up with me and he jumped at the opportunity! My intention for future, is with Rob's help, to grow Lake Park Auto & Fleet Repair to be as successful as Justin has grown Military Brake. I feel truly blessed and thank God for this opportunity.
